To mark the 100th anniversary of Gary Rotary, we decided to refurbish the children's playground at the Gary YWCA, who are also celebrating 100 years in the city of Gary. We were successful in our fund raising effort, and had great volunteer help in the construction of the playground from Gary Rotarians, NIPSCO, and Centier Bank. We will now open and dedicate the playground on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, with a ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 10:30. All Gary Rotarians are urged to attend. Past presidents of Gary Rotary have been invited as well as city officials and Rotary District 6540 leaders. If you have received your new Gary Rotary cap, please wear it. The caps will also be distributed at the dedication. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the opening.
